James R. Bognet, President, Bognet Construction Associates, Inc.
Jim co-founded Bognet Construction in March 1998. Under his leadership, the company has developed a loyal client base and has become one of the Washington Business Journal Top 25 General Contractors in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Jim’s passion is building long term client relationships and leading all members of the project to work as one team to deliver excellent results. Jim is driven to go the extra mile with each client and engineer creative, win-win solutions.
Jim has been in the construction industry since childhood. He began his work experience as a laborer on construction projects in his family’s business in Pennsylvania, and learned all aspects of construction. After completing his Mechanical Engineering and Construction Management degree at Pennsylvania State University, he continued his career and expanded his experience in the Washington Metropolitan Area working for various firms in construction and development.
Jim believes that our resources of time, talent, and money are a gift and that we must be an effective steward of all that is given to us. He has held board positions in various charitable organizations including Jubilee Support Alliance and Ronald McDonald House, and is a financial supporter to many more including the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, American Red Cross, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Operation Smile, Jill’s House, American Cancer Society, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Zero-The Fight to End Prostate Cancer.
Jim lives in Vienna, Virginia with his wife, Jennifer Bognet, Senior Vice President at Bognet Construction. They have a son, Rocco, and a daughter, Gianna. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and real estate development projects.
